Dr. Sefcik was awarded his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in May 2007. He subsequently went to Pontiac, Michigan and completed a 2-year primary care and surgical residency program. During his training he completed multiple procedures ranging from simple ingrown toenail avulsions to advanced fracture repairs. Dr. Sefcik was named Chief Resident in his senior year covering 3 hospitals. He completed rotations in Internal medicine, Infectious Disease, Pathology, Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Behavioral Medicine, Vascular and General surgery, and Anesthesiology. During his podiatry rotations there was a focus on diabetic feet, charcot, wound care, sports medicine, biomechanics and osteopathic manipulation techniques.Dr. Sefcik took a great interest in non-surgical correction of biomechanical dysfunction. He strives to achieve the best care possible for his patients by taking care of not only the symptoms but the cause of their pain with the goal to keep you on your feet and working.
